What the role is
What you will be working on
This is a part-time teaching position where lessons are delivered during the daytime and/or evenings. This may also include weekends, where applicable.
You will contribute and deliver modules (face-to-face and online) offered by School of Infocomm (SOI)’s Full-Time diploma programmes, (https://www.rp.edu.sg/soi/full-time-courses), which are offered during the daytime.
If found suitable, you may also be involved in contributing and delivering modules from SOI’s Continuing Education Training (CET) programmes, (https://www.rp.edu.sg/soi/lifelong-learning) , which are offered during the daytime or evening, including weekends where applicable.
Some of the modules or areas which you will be involved in contributing and delivering are as follows:
Software development subject areas (incl Python, Java, .NET, Agile, Databases)
Foundational ICT modulesCyber-security (incl Intrusion Detection, Ethical Hacking)
Fintech related modulesNative Cloud InfrastructureData scienceMachine Learning & Artificial Intelligence
Associate Lecturers are to be able to commit to at least teaching two full days per week for full time programmes. When required, you will also assess and evaluate student assignments and invigilate examinations.
What we are looking for
Applicants should have relevant qualifications in IT / Computer Science or equivalent with at least 3-5 years of relevant industry experience and be proficient in one or more of the following areas:
Programming / scripting (Python, R, SQL, PHP, Java, .NET)
Agile methodologiesData engineering, visualisation, and analytics
ML and/or AIStatisticsOther relevant areas can be found in (https://www.rp.edu.sg/soi/full-time-courses) and (https://www.rp.edu.sg/soi/lifelong-learning)
Genuine passion to share knowledge and interact with youths and/or adult learners, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Related certifications and teaching experience will be an added advantage.
