What the role is
What you will be working on
You will be responsible for the following:
- Conceptualise strategies and formulate/review operational policies on vector control.
- Engage stakeholders both internally and externally through presentations and work group discussions.
- Review work processes and systems to ensure that they are up-to-date and aligned with current best practices and guidelines.
- Work closely with NEA Regional Offices to implement operational programmes pertaining to vector control.
- Prepare inspection reports and present findings and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform data analysis and prepare reports, proposals or submissions.
- Investigate feedback on vectors and sanitation related issues that might give rise to vector propagation, and to prepare documentation for subsequent enforcement actions.
- Contribute to training programmes by supporting needs assessment, developing curriculum/content design, and assisting in post-training evaluation to ensure effective learning outcomes from various internal/external stakeholder groups.
- Carry out procurement and ensure the smooth running of vector control services / supplies contracts
- Any other duties regarding Vector Control work
What we are looking for
Requirements:
- Experience in operations planning, investigation, and/or enforcement, in a vector control related field, will be an advantage
- Enjoy thinking strategically, planning and applying analytical reasoning in the area of operations management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- A committed team player with good communication/interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
- Highly self-motivated and always ready to strive for improvement
- Meticulous with an eye for detail
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle pressure under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Outgoing and pleasant personality
- Mature, independent and resourceful
- Willing to work after office hours, weekends and public holidays if required
