What the role is
The primary role of the successful candidate is to support Digitization & Digitalization transformation in Civil and Structural design & drafting workflow of public housing development.
What you will be working on
Key responsibilities include:
i) programming to develop Computational BIM tools in format ArchiCAD Plug-in, Grasshopper, Rhino, and other relevant softwares for automation workflow required by in-house civil and structural design team,
ii) develop and set up BIM ArchiCAD parametric objects and templates which enable effective two-way communication between BIM and the Computational BIM script/tools.
iii) collaborate with users to gather requirements, design and propose new workflows or improvements to existing civil/structural design workflows
iv) develop workflows and custom applications to streamline data exchange between different software platforms
v) create clear and comprehensive documentation and user tutorials for all developed solutions to support adoption and ease of use
Candidate will collaborate with in-house civil and structural design team to develop the tools to automate BIM model creation, design processes and drawing production to ensure compliance with CORENET X requirements.
What we are looking for
The applicant should possess a background in Computational BIM which comprises of, not limited to, Programming, Software development, and BIM. The applicant shall have a positive attitude, the ability to handle challenges and good interpersonal and communication skills. Applicants with more than 5 years’ experience in built environment sector, in-depth knowledge of building services industry, conversant with local codes, regulations and authority submission procedures would be an added advantage. Proficiency in BIM ArchiCAD and Computational BIM software would be an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Development experience with scripts, plugins, or applications
• Experience with one or more of the following technologies: ArchiCAD API, ETABS API, VSTO, Rhino/Grasshopper and CMake
• Proficiency in the following programming languages: C#, C++, Python
• Experience working with data structures and optimizing software performance for efficiency and scalability
• Ability and willingness to work across multiple programming languages
• Ability to self-learn new programming languages and software APIs as required
• Prior experience or familiarity with BIM platforms and civil/structural engineering software and design process
• Candidates without direct experience in the specific technologies mentioned above are still encouraged to apply—related or transferable experience will be considered
Successful candidates will be offered a 2-year contract as a start.
