What you will be working on

The incumbent will lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of Sport Singapore’s preschool programmes and initiatives to build fundamental movement skills in young children. This role ensures operational excellence through effective programme management, coach deployment, and stakeholder engagement, while fostering a high-performing coaching workforce through mentorship, performance assessment, and professional development. Role and Responsibilities: • Manage the end-to-end implementation of preschool programmes. • Maintain and continuously update a centralised database of engaged preschools, enabling accurate reporting, tracking of partnerships, and identification of growth opportunities. • Strengthen partnership with anchor/partner operators and individual preschools. • Build and sustain strong stakeholder relationships with preschools, sectoral partners and coaches to build trust, drive collaboration, and advance shared outcomes. • Monitor, evaluate, and improve programme delivery by analysing feedback and outcomes, then incorporating refinements to enhance impact and participant experience. • Develop and implement strategic outreach plans and promotional collaterals to progressively expand preschool participation and strengthen SportSG’s presence in the early childhood sector. • Design, pilot, and scale new programme offerings that respond to evolving organisational priorities, early childhood sector trends, and emerging needs. • Oversee and optimise the deployment of coaches to meet programme needs. • Manage administrative compliance and ensuring all coaches maintain up-to-date certifications in alignment with organisational and sector standards. • Mentor, guide and support coaches through regular feedback and performance assessment. • Design and implement professional development initiatives for coaches that enhance coaching skills, pedagogical approaches, and alignment with organisational values and programme outcomes. • Lead the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new coaches. • Maintain oversight of programme execution to ensure safety, safeguarding, and quality standards are upheld. • Monitor budgets and resource utilisation. • Collaborate with internal teams to review and align policies and processes. • Collaborate with internal teams to integrate preschool initiatives into wider SportSG effort. • Coordinate with the appointed external training provider to facilitate course delivery. • Monitor, evaluate, and provide strategic feedback on the performance of the external training provider, identifying improvement areas and recommending actionable solutions to enhance programme effectiveness. Maintain oversight of course progression by tracking participant attendance, assessment results, and certification status and ensuring timely reporting and follow-through on outstanding matters.

What we are looking for

We are looking for self-motivated individuals who value integrity, teamwork and take pride in going the extra mile to provide excellent service to stakeholders and the community. This individual should be a sport advocate through living an active lifestyle and staying active. In addition, an ideal candidate should possess the following: • At least 5 years of proven experience and/ track record. • Experience in event/ project management, partnership and stakeholder management • Strong programme and people management skills • Ability to mentor, assess, and develop coaches • Organised, detail-oriented, and proactive problem-solver • Stakeholder engagement and relationship-building abilities • Adaptable to navigate dynamic work scenarios and environment • Knowledge of early childhood development, physical literacy, and sport coaching • Strong communication and teamwork skills The level of offer will commensurate with applicants’ experience and track records. Successful candidates will be offered a 2/3-year contract in the first instance. Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
