What the role is
What you will be working on
The selected candidate will assist the Judicial Competence’s Senior Director, Director, and Senior Assistant Director on the execution of Judicial Competence’s education function.
- Provide administrative support and undertake research that informs the content, design, and delivery of judicial education programmes.
- Undertake research into local and overseas conferences/seminars/attachments that might be relevant to judges and judicial officers.
- Render assistance in the development of learning resources for judges and judicial officers.
- Render assistance in relation to the administration of the SJC’s adjunct resources, ie, SJC Senior Faculty, Faculty, and Subject-Matter Advisory Panels.
- Draft reports, presentations, and papers relevant to the work of IJE and/or JC.
- Provide administrative and logistical support for SJC’s initiatives, programmes, and events.
- Assist with training needs analyses and development of curricula and environmental scanning for best practices and pedagogies in judicial education.
What we are looking for
Requirements:
• 3 to 7 years of legal or judicial experience
• Some experience in learning and development would be an advantage
• Proficient in IT and Microsoft applications
• Ability to interact and build positive work relations with stakeholders at all levels, within and across the organisation
• Talented, energetic, adaptable individual with strong analytical and writing skills and people skills
• Able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a high-performance team in a fast-paced environment
• Meticulous with a keen eye for detail and careful tracking of timelines
• Relevant qualifications in Law
