What the role is
What you will be working on
Your key responsibilities are:
• Attend selected meetings with senior leadership to capture emerging issues and opportunities.
• Research and draft proposed key messages, story angles, and content outlines for CED’s refinement.
• Identify social media opportunities from senior leadership’s engagements and propose creative concepts.
• Coordinate with CED to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and brand consistency in content delivery.
• Maintain tracking of upcoming events and communications milestones.

*Key Competencies*
• [Media Analytics & Sensing]: Monitor media activities and reports to assess potential ramifications and recommend suitable response
• [Message Framing & Delivery]: Craft and deliver messages in a manner that is aligned to communications strategy and objectives while considering different target audiences
• [Media Relations]: Develop media engagement strategies and foster media relationships to manage media responses and further agency's organisational goals
• [Communications Strategy]: Develop communications strategies and programmes to support agency leaders and policy-makers in achieving policy/agency/ national objectives
*Work Experience / Technical Skills / Personal Traits*
• Candidates with qualifications in Communications, Political Science, Public Policy, Journalism, Law or related field with at least 3-6 years’ experience in communications, public affairs, or policy research. Candidates with no prior working experience but have demonstrated portfolios are also welcome to apply.
• Strong writing and analytical skills; able to distil complex issues into clear, compelling messages.
• Familiarity with social media content creation and audience engagement.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Note: The seniority of the appointment will correspond to the candidate’s years of relevant experience. Successful candidate will be appointed on a 1-year contract in the first instance.
