What the role is

Assistant Manager, Bus Operations

What you will be working on

You will be part of the team to oversee bus safety governance and audit matters for public bus operations:

  • Coordinate and provide secretariat support for bus safety meetings involving internal and external stakeholders.
     

  • Conduct statistical analysis of public bus accidents to generate management reports for safety improvement and mitigation measure recommendations.
     

  • Curate quarterly Bus Safety Bulletins to highlight emerging public bus safety issues, industry best practices, and proposed mitigation measures.
     

  • Arrange public engagements/ initiatives on bus safety to raise awareness and create educational materials for community groups and schools.
     

  • Organise annually and biennially the Bus Safety Roadshow and Public Transport Safety and Security Award Day respectively.
     

  • Conduct Bus Safety audits, Quality of Service audits, Fare Evasion audits and Incident Management audits, to ensure adherence to established standards.
     

  • Attend to feedback/ complaints/ suggestions from commuters, bus operators, and members of public on matters pertaining to bus safety operational matters.

  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Reporting Officer.

What we are looking for

  • Knowledge in Computer Science, Information Technology or related fields.
     

  • Strong written, communication and interpersonal skills.  
     

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
     

  • Strong interest in driving business change using technology and data.
     

  • Experience with data analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, Python) will be an advantage.
