What the role is

You will be part of the team spearheading the development of policies and strategies to transform the HR industry and strengthen HR practices in Singapore, in support of the wider workforce and business transformation efforts in Singapore's new phase of economic development.

What you will be working on

In particular, the work will entail the following components: 1) Oversee strategic development of the HR sector • Formulate and oversee the implementation of national level strategies and initiatives to strengthen the HR profession Singapore • Analyse the economic landscape and trends to identify opportunities and gaps in the HR industry to ensure its continued relevance and effectiveness in alignment with national workforce and economic priorities. 2) Drive human capital capability development for HR professionals and organisations • Design and oversee initiatives to enhance the human capital development capabilities of HR professionals/ leaders and enterprises. • Partner industry associations, tripartite partners and other stakeholders (e.g. Government sector agencies, IHLs) to develop frameworks, programmes and resources 3) Strengthen HR ecosystem and services • Engage HR service providers to identify gaps and opportunities to improve the quality and accessibility of HR services to uplift human capital management standards • Foster innovation and collaboration within the HR services sector to address evolving priorities and needs. 4) Engage stakeholders and drive advocacy • Build and maintain strong relationships with tripartite partners, industry associations, and other stakeholders. • Advocate for the importance of HR Sector development in achieving national workforce and economic objectives.

What we are looking for

• A self-starter and independent thinker, comfortable with sense-making from complexities and passionate about driving excellence and making a difference. • Strong critical and analytical skills to assess policy impact and conceptualise HR Sector development strategies, aligned with socio-economic priorities and workforce development strategies. • Comfortable with quantitative data analysis and research methodologies to support evidence-based decision-making. • Strong organisational skills to oversee governance, performance, and outcomes of projects. • Effective communication, relationship-building and negotiation skills to align interests and drive collaboration of diverse stakeholders.
