What the role is
You will be responsible for driving strategic compensation initiatives within the Department, ensuring that remuneration policies and schemes support organisational objectives. There will also be opportunities for you to participate in ad-hoc HR projects.
What you will be working on
• Design, implement, and periodically review compensation schemes, ensuring competitiveness, equity, and alignment with organizational goals.
• Apply data analytics to assess pay structures, benchmark trends, and provide actionable recommendations to management.
• Leverage technology to streamline and improve efficiency of payroll processes.
• Develop and advise on compensation policies, supporting leadership in strategic decision-making.
• Engage with HR teams and management to ensure compensation strategies are effectively integrated into broader talent management initiatives.
What we are looking for
• 2-3 years of relevant experience in compensation management or HR analytics and familiarity with human resource practices in the public sector will be an added advantage
• Meticulous and well-organised
• Strong interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), and analytical skills
• A self-starter who can work well independently and in a team
