What the role is

As a Statistician, you will lead the collection, integration and analysis of demographic, family and household data. This includes designing efficient data processing strategies, assessing data integrity, and developing new indicators. Through the data, research and analysis, you will identify significant trends and effectively communicate insights to a wide range of stakeholders.

What you will be working on

• Collaborate with source agencies to acquire and enhance data • Lead methodological reviews to evaluate and enhance data quality and develop new indicators • Develop robust code for analysis and data quality monitoring • Design and implement ETL processes to integrate and harmonise data from diverse sources • Drive process optimisation through automation and innovative solutions

What we are looking for

• Possess knowledge or experience in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or other related disciplines with substantial quantitative content • Strong programming skills in Python, SQL and/or big data processing languages • Experience with database management, data warehousing, ETL processes for data ingestion and integration will be an advantage • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously Development Opportunities and Benefits: • DOS believes in the career development and training of our staff to bring out their best potential at work • You will be equipped with skills and subject matter know-how via in-house and external learning and development opportunities.
