The media officer’s role is to ensure that ICA’s target audience is effectively and efficiently informed of ICA-related matters and key messages through clear and consistent communication, leveraging appropriate communications channels i.e. media and social media, and creating impactful narratives/stories that resonate with the public.

- Conducts daily media monitoring of ICA-related news in the newspapers, broadcast and online media. - Works with other ICA work units to understand ICA’s product/services so as to devise appropriate communication strategies to ensure effective dissemination and consumption of ICA’s key messages. - Understand the role of reporters, how the media works and work with reporters so as to amplify stories that promote ICA’s brand image, as well as to ensure factual and positive reporting of ICA related issues.

- A team player and able to work with his/her peers within the work unit as well as across different work units. - Have a pleasant disposition, approachable with excellent interpersonal and communications skills, having to work closely with the various work units, external/local agencies and the media. - Have strong interest in current affairs. He/She must have good writing, listening and communication skills. - Be able to multi-task, organise his/her tasks effectively and manage deadlines. - Be able to standby after office hours or over the weekends / public holiday to respond to crisis situations that require timely comms management
