Engineer/Executive/Senior Engineer (Project Mgmt, Civil and Struc Tech Team)
What the role is
What you will be working on
The detailed work scope and responsibilities are as follows:
Participate with the technical teams in discussions with key stakeholders to ensure overall delivery of the project
Assist in overseeing the works of the IWMF contractors and management of IWMF contracts
Responsible for pre and post-contract activities and contract management
Prepare cost estimation, cost review, book-keeping of the expenses, project budgeting and revenue collection/estimation
Manage contractors’ claims, contract variations, milestone payments, invoices and account settlements
Work with finance department on financial analysis as well as legal and procurement departments for contractual matters
Perform changes and updates on financial models using Microsoft Excel
Prepare specifications of relevant tenders and quotation works that may be necessary for the development of IWMF
Prepare presentation materials and perform secretarial duties to update management and relevant authorities
Be part of a team to develop the Tuas Nexus Visitor Gallery including scoping, procurement, contract management, supervision of fit-out activities as well as to establish a visitor management system/ process with various stakeholders
Assist in handling industry/ public engagement and media/ educational materials
May be deployed to incineration plants for training if necessary
What we are looking for
Possess a degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering)
Preferably with 3-5 years of relevant infrastructure and building experience including site management and project management (fresh graduates can be considered)
Possess good technical background and strong analytical skills. Knowledge in interior design/office space fit-out or developing community outreach facilities would be an advantage
Possess working experience in handling contract variations, claims assessment, budgeting, cost control and project insurance. Knowledge in public sector procurement and Public Sector Standard Contract of Conditions (PSSCOC) would be an advantage
Preferably with good working knowledge in the use of Microsoft Excel for financial modelling. Experience with NEWforma and Navisworks will be an advantage
Good command of spoken and written English, presentation and writing skills
Able to work at construction site
Able to commence work in early December 2025 would be an advantage
