What the role is

Lead a team at IMDA that safeguards the security and resilience of Singapore’s digital infrastructure.

What you will be working on

  • Lead a team of technical professionals to shape policies, programmes and security and resilience outcomes for the info-comm and media sector
  • Apply advanced technical/cybersecurity expertise:
    • to problem solve
    • proactively identify and remediate risks
    • develop regulations, standards and frameworks for critical digital infrastructure
    • drive innovation in threat detection and response
  • Conduct operations:
    • RA, VA, PT, TH in collaboration with operators, partners and stakeholders;
    • Coordinate with threat intelligence teams to enhance detection and response
    • Support incident response efforts, as necessary
  • Develop capabilities:
    • of IMDA officers and partners in cybersecurity for digital infrastructure,
    • focusing on telco/5G, cloud for a start
    • Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders in the cybersecurity ecosystem, including government agencies, industry partners, and international organizations

What we are looking for

  • Background in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security, or related fields
    • Minimum 12-15 years of experience in cybersecurity, with significant exposure to emerging technologies
    • Expert-level experience in threat hunting, threat intelligence, and incident response in domains such as security and 5G security
    • Certification in advanced threat hunting, incident response, or digital forensics (e.g., SANS GDAT, GCFA, or equivalent) preferred
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing threat detection strategies and cybersecurity policies and frameworks
  • Leadership
    • at least 5 years of supervisory experience
    • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Position will be commensurate with experience.
