Assistant Director (Stakeholder Partnership and Engagement)

Ministry Of Social And Family Development

Permanent/Contract

Closing on 24 Sep 2025

What the role is

Family Life Group (FLG) strengthens and supports families to realise the vision of making Singapore the best place for family life through our policies, programmes and publicity efforts. Strong families are the building blocks of a caring community. We want to help families realise their hopes and aspirations, strengthen familial bonds and support them in overcoming challenges. You will be part of the Partnership (PTR) Division in FLG to help nurture a community-based, family-friendly support ecosystem across all stages of life through the Families for Life movement. We promote family-centric campaigns, parenting and marriage programmes and form partnerships with corporate and community stakeholders and volunteers to promote and strengthen families.

What you will be working on

You will work with a dynamic team to build and grow partnerships across the public, private, and people sectors, with a strong emphasis on engaging corporate stakeholders. Your work will contribute to national efforts to support and strengthen families through collaborative initiatives. Your day-to-day responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: • Develop and lead strategic partnerships with corporate organisations, such as businesses, CSR teams, and industry associations, to champion family-friendly policies and programmes. • Engage community stakeholders including non-profits, social service agencies, and ground-up groups to co-create initiatives that resonate on the ground. • Shape and execute partnership plans that align with the goals and vision of the Families for Life movement. • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across sectors, identifying new opportunities for collaboration and scaling successful initiatives. • Plan and deliver stakeholder engagement events such as partner networking sessions, appreciation events, and collaborative platforms. • Oversee partnership tracking and databases, contribute to budget planning, and support reporting and performance measurement.

What we are looking for

• At least 7 years of relevant experience, ideally in areas such as corporate partnerships, CSR/sustainability, stakeholder engagement, business development, or community collaboration. • Proven ability to build and manage strategic relationships with both corporate and community partners. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills — able to engage stakeholders across levels, from senior executives to grassroots leaders. • Strategic and solutions-oriented, with the ability to align partnerships to broader organisational goals and societal impact. • Comfortable being both strategic and hands-on, with the agility to lead, contribute individually, or collaborate within a team. • Experience in supervising or mentoring others is advantageous Only shortlisted candidates will be notified within 4 weeks from the closing date of this position.
