What the role is

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who enjoys working in the outdoors and with people.

What you will be working on

You will be part of the team based at Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve (SBWR), with responsibilities including site management and operations, fieldwork, procurement of equipment, data recording and logistics coordination between various staff and experts involved, liaising with overseas suppliers, contractors, and specialists in the field. Other responsibilities include assisting in relevant surveys in the field, coordinate and liaise with relevant government agencies or administrative works to support the operation of SBWR.

What we are looking for

  • Areas of study in Environmental Management, Life Science, Botany, Zoology, or related discipline in applied sciences for conservation is preferred

  • Experience working with wildlife and plants in nature conservation areas, especially wetlands/mudflats preferred

  • Enjoy working in an outdoor environment and with a diverse group of people i.e. contractors, specialists, experts

  • Willing to work on weekends and after office hours

  • Proactive, good interpersonal skills with ability able to work independently and in a team

  • Well-organised with good multi-tasking abilities

  • Enjoys working with wildlife and preferably possess a Class 3 driving license
