What the role is
As a Data Analyst in the Water Systems Department, Planning & Capability Development division, you will be part of an inter-disciplinary team to lead the development of database systems and data analytics tools for the interpretation of datasets to extract actionable insights and undertake related R&D projects.
What you will be working on
Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to the following areas in:
Database Management:
• Database Administration: Develop and maintain database systems for temporal and spatial datasets, ensuring data availability and reliability
• Data Security: Implement and enforce necessary data security measures
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of database systems, processes and procedures.
Data Science:
• Data Analysis: Analyse hydrological datasets to extract actionable insights.
• Data Visualization: Create data visualisations to present/ communicate findings effectively.
• Any other duties as assigned
What we are looking for
• Degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Data Science or Information Technology
• Proficiency in database management systems (e.g., SQL) and data analysis tools (e.g., Python)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Candidates with experience in database management and data science are preferred
• Candidates with no experience but possess the right credentials and aptitude are welcome to apply
