What the role is

You are responsible for managing the Army Capital Budget to ensure optimal utilisation of funds in support of the Army missions and strategic goals. You oversee capital expenditure planning, execution and control, as well as support budget prioritisation efforts, facilitate funding proposals, and ensure alignment with operational needs.

What you will be working on

- Manage the capital budget at the Army level to ensure optimal utilisation of funds - Perform the roles of Service Budget Manager, Approving Officer (Funds), and Unit Resource Officer (URO) for capital expenditure - Support the budget prioritisation process and assist in securing funding to advance the Army’s missions and strategic goals - Provide consultation and advisory services on all finance-related matters pertaining to the capital budget - Ensure compliance with financial policies, governance frameworks, and budgetary controls related to capital investments Challenge(s) - Providing timely and accurate data to support informed decision making in capital budgeting - Consolidating inputs from various stakeholders, validating data integrity, and anticipating information needs for strategic planning

What we are looking for

- Education in finance-related discipline such as Accounting, Business or Economics - At least 2 years of work experience in finance-related role in large organisation is preferred - Good team spirit and collaborative approach - Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy - Self-motivated with strong initiative - High integrity with strong security consciousness (Applicants with no experience may apply.)
