Description of Division:
As part of the RPG Protective Service (PSV), the Partner & Capability Development (PCD) division drives partner management and capability building to deliver effective protection services for individuals and families experiencing violence, abuse, or neglect. We strengthen coordination of common services and enable holistic management of services run by social service agencies and vendors. The division advances evidence-based and trauma-informed practices to better support both RPG staff and the social service sector.

What you will be working on
Brief description of Job Scope:
The Out-of-Home Care/Community Practice Support Team (OHC/CPST) partners Out-of-Home Care (OHC) agencies i.e. Children’s Homes and Fostering Agencies to enable effective case management for their clients. The OHC/CPST works closely with the OHC agencies to provide case consultations and intervention support for complex cases by brokering services and navigating system barriers to facilitate targeted and effective intervention. The team plays a key role in working collaboratively with the OHC sector and related partners to enhance capabilities and strengthen casework practices for the OHC sector.
The role requires a good understanding of domestic violence and strong casework management in protection work, and stakeholder engagement and management skills. You will be required to build strong partnerships with the OHC sector partners and stakeholders, participate in case consults and reviews to provide effective support in case management and casework practices, and facilitate capability building.
Responsibilities:
As a Manager, you will report to a Senior Manager/ Assistant Director and:
o Provide case consults for complex cases and work with the OHC sector partners and stakeholders to enhance the sector’s casework practices
o Guide the OHC workers in applying relevant casework theories and integrating relevant domestic violence assessment tools in their case planning and practices
o Facilitate multi-disciplinary case conferences for complex cases
o Provide guidance on Court order applications and case reviews
o Co-facilitate Practice Circles to deepen knowledge and skills application
o Participate and provide input to capability building of the OHC sector and work processes to improve support to OHC agencies
This role offers a breadth of exposure to sector capability development, stakeholders engagement and management, and casework management.
What we are looking for
Competencies required:
• Possess a background in Social Work, Psychology, or related disciplines.
• At least 2 years of experience in casework with children and families
• Proactive and dynamic
• Ability to engage internal and external stakeholders and communicate well
• Good written and engagement skills, problem solving and multi-tasking skills
• A team player who is also able to work independently under pressure
