What the role is

You will be part of the Digital Communications & Production team, under the Communications & Engagement Division (CED), that is responsible for driving the social media and digital marketing initiatives to amplify the Ministry of Law’s (MinLaw) communications and messaging across key demographics. You will be required to ideate and develop high-quality visual content assets including videos and infographics.

What you will be working on

Your key responsibilities include: • Ideating and creating engaging creative content for MinLaw’s and MinLaw political office holders’ social media platforms, to increase awareness of MinLaw’s policies and announcements. • Working with external online content platforms, creative agencies, content creators, production houses as well as industry stakeholders to extend reach of messaging through appealing digital and ground communications products. • Producing simple content in-house using technical skills (e.g. photo-taking and editing, short video filming and editing, social media infographic design, etc.) • Responding swiftly to social media trends and suggesting ways to leverage them to extend MinLaw messaging.

What we are looking for

*Key Competencies Required* • [Content Creation & Curation]: Curate and present engaging and creative content (including digital content) using a variety of tools to support the agency's communication efforts and objectives • [Message Framing & Delivery]: Craft and deliver messages in a manner that is aligned to communications strategy and objectives while considering different target audiences • [Communications Strategy]: Develop communications strategies and programmes to support agency leaders and policy-makers in achieving policy/agency/ national objectives • [Marketing Communications Strategy]: Develop marketing communications strategy and implementation plan tailored to specific audience profile to achieve desired outcomes *Work Experience / Personal Traits* • 5 – 8 years’ work experience in digital communications (e.g. content creation, video production or digital marketing). • Good understanding of the social media platforms’ audience, reach, algorithms and engagement strategies, to maximise its use as a medium to reach stakeholders. • Enjoys creative work and ideation, conveying complex and technical announcements in an interesting and compelling manner to the target audience. • Able to work with different internal and external stakeholders to achieve project objectives. • Able to multi-task and prioritise workload. • Strong command of English, with an ability to adapt writing style and tone based on communication platform and target audience. • Good team player with strong interpersonal skills. • Independent and self-motivated, possesses a positive attitude to work and learning on the job • Good attention to detail. • Open to overseas work trips to capture photos and footage of MinLaw’s engagements with external stakeholders (estimated 1 trip a year) • It is a bonus if the candidate can: - Produce and edit videos using software such as Adobe Premiere Pro and CapCut - Create infographics using software such as Photoshop and Canva (Bonus if the applicant can do illustrations) - Take simple photographs and videos for social media platforms (Bonus if the applicant can use the DSLR) Successful candidates will be appointed on a 1-year contract in the first instance, subject to renewal. #LI-SW1
