What the role is
What you will be working on
You will be part of the team to manage the operations at the Centre for Animal Rehabilitation and The Animal Lodge (TAL). You will be required to supervise contractors, handle public enquiries including the liaison with public, volunteers, animal welfare groups and caregivers and manage procurement and inventory services for the centre. As part of your daily work, you will also be assisting with the following:
- Data management and analysis, regular maintenance and upkeep of facilities and equipment and workplace health and safety.
- Oversee administrative tasks of the shelter including animal record keeping and procurement.
- Assist with animal operations, including animal handling, care and husbandry.
- Assist with the different duties, activities and programmes related to the Centre.
What we are looking for
- One year experience with government procurement process preferred.
- Experience managing tenders, contracts and workers; and project management preferred.
- Relevant working experience in animal care or husbandry preferred.
- Strong management and coordination skills, independent, self-motivated, meticulous and enthusiastic.
- Independent and able to work effectively with others in a team environment.
- Positive attitude, meticulous, energetic, possess good communication and interpersonal skills and passionate about animals.
- Competent in Microsoft Office Applications.
- Required to work on weekends and public holidays based on roster.
