What the role is
The Senior/Regulatory Specialist of the Complementary Health Products Branch will plan, coordinate and implement policies and standards to ensure the safety and quality of complementary health products in Singapore.
What you will be working on
- Perform safety and quality evaluation of complementary health products (CHPs) and ingredients to ensure that they meet appropriate standards of safety and quality.
- Conduct post-market vigilance and safety monitoring activities including instituting timely and appropriate regulatory actions to ensure the continued safety of marketed CHPs.
- Participate/lead in policy and process review projects.
- Manage enquiries and feedback from industry stakeholders and members of public.
What we are looking for
Experience & Knowledge
- Background in pharmacy, life sciences, biomedical sciences or equivalent or other related disciplines
- Experience in regulatory function, or manufacturing of traditional medicines, health supplements or related products
Personal Attributes & Competency
- Critical and strategic thinker, able to analyse, interpret and communicate data effectively
- Able to facilitate or lead meetings, make effective presentations, organise events
- Effective oral and written communication skills. Able to communicate confidently and diplomatically with various stakeholders

- Able to work independently, as well as in a team

About Health Sciences Authority
The Health Sciences Authority (HSA) applies medical, pharmaceutical and scientific expertise through its three professional groups, Health Products Regulation, Blood Services and Applied Sciences, to protect and advance national health and safety. HSA is a multidisciplinary authority. It serves as the national regulator for health products, ensuring they are wisely regulated to meet standards of safety, quality and efficacy. As the national blood service, it is responsible for providing a safe and adequate blood supply. It also applies specialised scientific, forensic, investigative and analytical capabilities in serving the administration of justice.
