What the role is
What you will be working on
The temporary staff member will collaborate closely with the Team Lead and key stakeholders to deliver essential planning, implementation, and operational support for scaling SportCares' specialised programmes. These include the Morning Exercise and Gym-in-a-Bag initiatives, designed to reach vulnerable seniors living in rental housing effectively, educing social isolation and enhancing their well-being in line a with the organisation’s mission to uplift underserved communities through sport.
Job Responsibilities:
• Support the team in designing, implementing, monitoring & evaluation of Morning Exercise programme and other initiatives to impact the lives of isolated seniors living in rental blocks.
• Build and maintain strategic partnerships with new/existing stakeholders across relevant sectors to expand programme outreach.
• Develop comprehensive indicators and measurement frameworks to assess programme effectiveness and provide evidence-based reporting on outcomes.
• Oversee programme procurement activities within approved budgets and timelines, ensuring compliance with government procurement guidelines.
• Evaluate suppliers and service providers, manage vendor relationships and performance, and ensure procurement processes meet regulatory standards.
• Work closely with internal teams including Finance and Procurement to ensure funding availability and maintain prudent procurement practices.
What we are looking for
We are looking for self-motivated individuals who value integrity, teamwork and take pride in going the extra mile to provide excellent service to stakeholders and the community. This individual should be a sport advocate through living an active lifestyle and staying active.
In addition, an ideal candidate should possess the following:
• Tertiary Education in a relevant field such as Sport Science & Management / Social Work / Sociology is advantageous.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in organizing and implementing programmes and outreach (not necessary sports related) to vulnerable children & youth, families, persons with disabilities, and/or seniors.
• Experience in programme design, monitoring & evaluation.
• An understanding of Singapore sporting ecosystem.
• Experience working in the social service sector is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders effectively.
• Strong organisational, project management, and administrative capabilities with attention to detail.
