What the role is

Description of Division/Branch: Youth Homes (YH) is responsible for the rehabilitation, protection and reintegration of youth placed in secure care at the Singapore Boys’ Home (SBH) and Singapore Girls’ Home (SGH). The Homes are gazetted as a Juvenile Rehabilitation Centre for youth offenders dealt with by the Youth Court and as a Place of Safety for youths admitted on a Family Guidance Order, Care and Protection Order or under the Women’s Charter.

What you will be working on

You will manage YH’s digital infrastructure, knowledge management, hardware and data systems, ensuring seamless integration of ICT into learning and operational environments. You will be primarily based in Singapore Boys' Home, with responsibilities that involve cross-deployment between SBH and SGH. Main Responsibilities: 1. ICT Strategy & Infrastructure Management • Align ICT strategies between MSF HQ and YH. • Support in project management and provide technical expertise for new and existing YH ICT-related projects. • Support implementation of modern network architecture that supports YH operations in compliance to Whole-of-Government policy requirements. • Future-proof network design to accommodate emerging modern technologies. • Manage ICT infrastructure to support teaching, learning, e-assessment, and national examinations. • Prepare and optimize virtual and digital education environments. • Supervise contract staff and/or vendors to manage ICT infrastructure and project management 2.Technical and User Support • Provide both hardware and software maintenance, technical support and troubleshooting assistance to YH staff. • Support AV systems for events. • Coordinate IT equipment refreshes and reconfigurations with minimal operational disruption. 3. Asset & Inventory Management • Oversee device deployments and maintain comprehensive ICT inventory records. 4. Knowledge Management • Implement knowledge management systems and processes to facilitate information sharing and organisational learning across YH

What we are looking for

1. Relevant tertiary education and/or specialized technical certifications (e.g. CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+); 2. Strong experience in ICT infrastructure related work - networks, servers, security and digital learning tools; 3. Strong knowledge management skills including digital asset organization and inventory tracking; 4. Possess good IT knowledge and computer-related skills e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, Office, PowerPoint. Key Competencies 1. Strong technical expertise with hands-on problem-solving ability. 2. Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure. 3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills 4. Able to work independently while being an effective team player. 5.
