LECTURER / SENIOR LECTURER, COMPUTING WITH LAW - SCHOOL OF INFOCOMM TECHNOLOGY
What the role is
What you will be working on
We are looking for passionate and dynamic individuals to join School of InfoComm Technology as full-time lecturers to teach modules in our Computing with Law diploma programme. You will be teaching and shaping our future graduates at the intersection of Computing and Law, which develops students’ skills and knowledge in Computing and Artificial Intelligence, while equipping them with knowledge in Law, Regulatory and Compliance so they can contribute effectively to the emerging LegalTech, RegTech and ComplianceTech industry.
The candidate will be assigned to teach Pre-Employment Training (PET) / Continuing Education and Training (CET) classes in the area that he / she is a subject matter expert in.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Teaching modules in one or more of these domains to PET/CET classes:
- Computing & IT
- Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- LegalTech / RegTech / ComplianceTech
Design, create quality and engaging teaching and assessment materials, conduct lessons and facilitate learning for both PET and CET students.
Develop, improve and innovate new/existing teaching curriculum. This includes regular review of existing curriculum and making recommendations on areas of improvement that would enhance students’ learning, performance and employability.
Support student development in the areas of Education and Career Guidance.
Work with enterprises to develop partnership opportunities for curriculum development, industry projects, internships or CET.
Participate in ad-hoc projects related to academic enhancement, student development, publicity and outreach and/or CET.
Keep abreast of current trends and developments of technologies and emerging trends.
Handle administrative work relating to teaching and school initiatives.
What we are looking for
At least 3 years of relevant working experience in related domain in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, and/or Artificial Intelligence.
Good technical background in software development, front-end development, back-end development, full stack development and/or software architecture and design.
Proficiency in 2 or more artificial Intelligence domains (knowledge-based systems, machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, natural language processing, generative AI and/or agentic AI).
Genuine passion for education, with a strong interest in teaching and mentoring both youths and adult learners.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to demonstrate empathy and connect effectively with diverse learners.
Creative, resourceful, and innovative in managing and executing tasks.
Strong willingness to learn and adapt, with a keen interest in acquiring new skills and knowledge if needed.
Additional pre-requisites that are advantageous:
Knowledge or practical experience in LegalTech, RegTech, ComplianceTech, or related fields and industry.
Practical work experience in implementing solutions in related domain.
Relevant professional certifications will have added advantage, e.g. AWS, SCRUM.
Experience in designing curriculum, developing materials and delivering classes.
