What the role is
What you will be working on
The school is looking for full-time lecturers to teach modules in Data Science Diploma.
This is a role that is both demanding and meaningful. Not only should you have the knowledge and work experience to impart technical knowledge, but you would need to be passionate about working with young people, nurturing them and shaping their personality. You will have the opportunity to develop the curriculum, introduce new courses and participate in consulting and other applied research projects. Administrative tasks related to education and school / institutional and strategic initiatives are also an important part of the responsibilities.
The candidate will be assigned to teach Pre-Employment Training (PET)/ Continuing Education and Training (CET) classes in the area that he / she is a subject matter expert in.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Create teaching and assessment materials, conduct lessons and facilitate learning for both PET and CET students.
Develop and maintain new/existing teaching curriculum. This includes regular review of existing curriculum and making recommendations on areas of improvements that would enhance students’ learning, performance and employability.
Support student development in the areas of Education and Career Guidance.
Work with enterprises to develop partnership opportunities for curriculum development, industry projects or CET training.
Solicit internship opportunities with industry partners and supervise student internships; and
Participate in ad hoc projects pertaining to academic enhancement, student development, publicity and outreach and Continuing Education and Training.
Keep abreast of current trends and developments of technologies and emerging trends.
Handle administrative work relating to teaching.
What we are looking for
At least 3 years of relevant work experience in implementing Data Science, Generative AI, Data Engineering, Data Analytics and/or other AI solutions.
Candidates should be proficient in Analytical Programming using Python and/or other related programming languages.
They should preferably have experience in Data Analytics platforms such as Tableau, Power BI and CRISP-DM/ SEMMA / Data Science frameworks such as TensorFlow/ PyTorch or experience in Data Engineering, designing and building systems for collecting and analysing data (structured and unstructured) at scale.
Passionate about education and possess strong interest in teaching and mentoring both youths and adult learners.
