Business Analytics Department leads the efforts to drive the use of business intelligence, analytics and artificial intelligence in NEA. You will be part of a dynamic team to identify opportunities for the adoption of business intelligence and data analytics across NEA departments, develop analytics solutions with clear deliverables, and communicate insights to influence decision-making. You will also build competencies amongst NEA staff through various initiatives.

What the role is
What you will be working on
You will be responsible for the following:
Engage stakeholders to understand their business challenges and identify opportunities for business intelligence and data analytics to improve operations, decision making, and financial management in NEA.
Conceptualise, develop prototype and pilot business intelligence dashboards and data analytics solutions with departments. This includes performing data cleaning, automation of data processing, analysing datasets using analysis tools to discover insights.
Work with various stakeholders to implement business intelligence dashboards in NEA’s Business Intelligence System (BIS)** or Whole-of-Government platforms and implement other data analytics solutions. This includes providing maintenance support for the dashboards and data analytics solutions that have been implemented.
Communicate the data insights in a clear and compelling narrative, supported with impactful visuals, to influence key decision makers.
Assist in establishing and maintaining data structure and governance framework for NEA's BIS.
Assist to develop and implement initiatives to level up the business intelligence and data analytics competencies in NEA through various outreach programmes, Community of Practice events and other initiatives.
Note: BIS is a dynamic business intelligence and analysis platform that provides an integrated view of cross-functional information across NEA.
What we are looking for
The job might be for you if you possess the following qualities:
At least 5 years of relevant experience and competencies in business intelligence and data analytics work
Experienced in creating appealing dashboards via Qlik Sense (preferred) and PowerBI.
Experienced in programming language, python or R.
Highly self-motivated individual who is mature, independent, and resourceful with a drive to learn and master new technologies.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong writing and analytical skills.
