What the role is

The Smart Nation Group – Digital Government (SNDG), under the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and administratively managed by the Ministry of Digital Development and Information (MDDI), plans and prioritizes key Smart Nation and digital government projects, raises the standards of Government ICT and services, builds long-term capabilities for the public sector, and promotes adoption and participation in digital and smart innovations. It takes a whole-of-nation effort, and we will actively engage the public, the industry and fellow agencies as we build a Smart Nation together. This 3- to 6-month internship offers the opportunity to explore content creation of e-learning modules across multiple formats including videos, interactive modules, webinars, quizzes, and assessments to create comprehensive learning journeys that help build foundational tech capabilities across the entire public service. The intern will gain practical experience in content creation, learn a wide range of tech concepts and have in-depth understanding of government technology initiatives and digital citizen services.

What you will be working on

Key Responsibilities: 1. Content development and creation • Design end-to-end learning experiences incorporating various formats such as interactive modules, assessments, and blended learning approaches to accommodate diverse learning styles and government training contexts. • Collaborate with subject matter experts to understand complex tech concepts and translate them into accessible layman digital educational content • Assist in scriptwriting, storyboarding, and planning video sequences that effectively communicate technical information to diverse audiences • Support video production activities including filming, basic editing, and post-production work • Help develop visual aids, graphics, and animations to enhance learning outcomes • Support the creation of supplementary materials such as transcripts, summaries, and interactive elements 2. User Research: • Conduct research on best practices in e-learning design and adult education principles • Conduct user research with public officers with a wide range of learning needs and styles • Analyse data to identify patterns and insights that can inform tailored learning interventions • Help develop personas and user journeys to enhance the relevance and impact of learning content • Assist with quality assurance testing of digital content across different platforms and devices 3. Learning Impact and Measurement: • Assist in measuring learning effectiveness and user engagement across different content formats • Optimise learning pathways based on user feedback and performance data 4. Any other duties as assigned

What we are looking for

Candidate Profile: • Currently pursuing or recently completed studies in communications, media production, education, or related fields • Basic experience with video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar) and content creation tools • (Preferred) Prior experience and track record in content creation • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly • Creative problem-solving abilities and attention to detail • Familiarity with e-learning platforms and instructional design principles would be advantageous • Resourceful and able to work independently to get things done in a fast-paced environment • Strong work ethic in taking ownership and accountability
