What the role is

Our work in the Resilience and Engagement Division (RED) centres on strengthening social solidarity and commitment to Singapore. We do this through three pillars of work: fostering a strong and inclusive sense of national identity; helping newcomers integrate into Singapore and appreciate what it means to be part of Singapore; and promoting a culture of volunteerism and philanthropy. You will be part of the Programmes and Community Grants team looking after the development and execution of programmes to facilitate the integration of new residents into Singapore.

What you will be working on

In this role, you will be working on the rollout of interventions to support the integration of newcomers, including foreign professionals coming to work in Singapore. Through these interventions, we hope for newcomers to have a better appreciation of the values and norms that shape day-to-day life and living in Singapore, and to have opportunities to interact meaningfully with the local community. Your responsibilities include: • Programme Development: Developing e-content and experiential components for newcomers that meets our integration objectives. This includes engaging potential users to understand their needs and to seek feedback on prototypes. • User Experience Design: Designing an intuitive and engaging user experience for newcomers as they go through the e-content and experiential components. • Stakeholder Engagement and Coordination: Working with partner agencies and vendors to translate the desired user experience into platform design and ground operations. • Project Management: Managing project timelines to ensure that the project deliverables are achieved.

What we are looking for

Required Competencies Programme Conceptualisation and Design • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop enriching and engaging interventions to integrate newcomers effectively into Singapore. Programme and Project Management • Assess and draw up realistic project timelines to achieve project deliverables. • Review progress and effectiveness of our interventions, recommend actions for improvement and ensure alignment with policy intentions. • Manage project and monitor progress to ensure that project timelines are met and project deliverables are achieved. Customer Experience and Service • Design an integrated service experience that meets our policy intention while addressing the needs of newcomers Experiences • At least 3 years of relevant work experience in designing and rolling out large scale programmes. Personality Traits • A passion for Singapore and keen interest to contribute to our mission of helping newcomers integrate into Singapore. • A self-starter who is mature, resourceful and meticulous. • Works well within and across teams by building rapport and trust with others. • Possess a bias for action and a drive to effect change, solve problems, and see tasks through to completion.
