Location: Woodlands Regional Library

What you will be working on

  • Develop and implement library programmes and services. 
  • Organise, co-curate and facilitate programmes for the 0-6 years age group and relevant target audience (e.g. parents, caregivers and educators). 
  • Develop new content (including articles, book recommendations, reviews, resource kits, learning packages and videos, etc.)
  • Ensure that programmes & services are relevant and impactful through evaluation of participants’ feedback and data analysis
  • Responsible for the quality and breadth of collection and programme in areas pertaining to the 0-6 years age group in the branch 
  • Implement and track end-to-end process of programmes from planning to post-mortem, ensuing that the programmes achieve the agreed targets and outcomes
  • Maintain the quality and relevance of the collections by evaluating and analysing data such as branch collection usage and loan data
  • Plan and develop collection strategies to promote library’s collection
  • Identify and establish networks with community partners to promote the use of library services and collections and enhancement of library programmes
  • Review and maintain working relationships with partners and key stakeholders
  • Craft procurement specifications and apply Government Instruction Manual and internal guidelines to procure products and services

What we are looking for

  • At least one to two years of relevant experience in project management, community engagement and marketing/ promotion
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for reading and promoting reading
  • Good analytical, written and verbal communications skills
  • Required to perform shift work and work on weekends
  • Skills in technology, art, craft, engineering, music, science, green design, and computer software/programmes (video editing etc) are good and can be stated in application

Successful applicant will be appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance.
