What the role is
• Involved in the planning and implementation of M&E cyclical replacement projects including calling of tender for projects.
• Review the Tender Specifications and Drawings to ensure the standards, quality of works and materials used comply with requirements.
• Review and implement checklist for projects/ works.
• Work on communications plan and engage stakeholders on works to be carried out.
What you will be working on
Plan and manage budget utilisation.
• Engage M&E Consultants to conduct equipment/system functionality and performance checks and analysis.
• Coordinate and supervise from design to post construction stage , implement the cyclical replacement works and project manage both consultants and contractor to ensure specifications and requirement are carried out according.
Conduct operations and safety audits to ensure compliance with requirements
• Provide advice on M&E related matters (e.g code compliances, operation requirement, etc) to car park department and various stakeholders (e.g Zonal offices Town Councils, etc) .
• Conduct regular meetings with consultant and contractor to ensure timely delivery of projects.
• Research and implement new technology/materials/standards for car park improvement projects/ works.
• Use of systems and deploy data analytics to analyse hotspots and progress of works.
• Assess ground requests for car park improvement works.
• Review Consultant’s proposal with Zones and work with Consultant/ Contractor to carry out the necessary works.
What we are looking for
• You should possess a relevant background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering that is recognised by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore.
• Ability to read, understand, review and comment on mechanical and/or electrical tender drawings (e.g. electrical and mechanical single line drawings, layout plans, system schematic drawings, etc)
• Minimally 5 years of experience, preferably covering a broad spectrum in mechanical equipment (e.g. Lift, fire pumps, submersible pumps, fire panels, ventilation system, etc) or electrical equipment (e.g. Main Switchboard, power generator, etc)
• Familiarity with Building Services and the latest Authorities and Codes requirements (e.g. fire code, lightning protection, fire protection system (e.g. automatic fire alarm system, hose reel system, sprinkler system, etc))
• Good analytical and communication skills to manage M&E Consultants, including report writing skills and the ability to work as a trusted team player
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
• Knowledge on Vertical Transport System (e.g. Lift)
Successful candidates will be offered a 1+1 year contract
