What the role is
What you will be working on
You will be responsible for the following:
- Manage appointed contractors and other parties involved in facilities management to achieve optimal maintenance standard
- Oversee the maintenance of equipment and machineries within the facilities to ensure smooth and efficient operations
- Coordinate with the respective contractors and manage contracts, to ensure work is followed up promptly and in compliance with contract requirements.
- Track work progression, and ensure reports are submitted as scheduled.
- Work with the relevant agencies and stakeholders for related works.
- Monitor and track timely approval of requirement, issuance of Purchase Orders (POs) and manage payment to contractor/ vendors.
- Conduct regular Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) meetings and toolbox.
- Respond, investigate, and resolve feedback from members of public and stakeholders.
- Manage, plan and participate in operations for special annual festivals such as Qing Ming and Lunar 7th Month
- Review and monitor current processes to enhance productivity and service standards.
- Handle and manage feedback/appeals from members of public.
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.
What we are looking for
Requirements:
- Background in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering is preferred
- At least 5 years of working experience in facilities management, environmental public health, or other fields with operations or service management in a leadership position
- Experience in contract management and leading a team
- Able to lead, interact and foster teamwork
- Able to handle adverse situations and difficult customers
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, e.g. excel functions, creative presentations
- Good problem-solving, written and verbal communication skills
- Pay attention to the fine details
- Organised and able to multi-task
- Mature, independent, responsible and resourceful
- Self-driven and always ready to strive for improvement
- Willing to work in after-death care services environment
- Able and willing to work on weekends and public holidays
