What the role is
You will join a dynamic team responsible for managing work pass applications for foreign employees. Your role will involve verifying documents robustly to establish accurate identities, ensuring that the right persons are brought into Singapore for employment and upholding the integrity of the Work Pass framework.
What you will be working on
• Oversee a team of officers responsible for managing Document Verification (DV) operations for work pass applications.
• Supervise the outsourced service provider, including training their employees on verifying specific documents.
• Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and guidelines for DV in alignment with new policies and manpower transformation initiatives and provide training to the outsourced service provider.
• Administer the existing DV contract, including drafting contract variations.
• Plan for a new DV contract and tender - review existing contracts and specifications, firm up service requirements, lead or execute other tender-related activities.
• Lead or contribute to projects aimed at enhancing systems and processes related to DV, such as reviewing functional specifications and conducting User Acceptance Testing.
Perform data mining and analysis to support planning and operational implementation of processes, as required.
What we are looking for
• Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities with excellent written communication skills
• Good communication (written and spoken) and interpersonal skills
• Strong in operations management skills
• Able to supervise a team of junior officers
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel; some basic computer programming skills or RPA skills will be advantageous
• Some experience in vendor management (tender process, ensuring quality of work, etc) will be a bonus
