What the role is

What you will be working on
Air Traffic Controller Licensing (ATCL) & Training
As part of a dynamic team, you will play an instrumental role to provide effective safety oversight of Air Traffic Controller Licensing (ATCL) and the provision of training in Air Traffic Control Training Organisation (ATCTO) and help contribute towards the objective to provide safety oversight of the provision of air navigation services in Singapore. You will develop and maintain national regulations for Air Traffic Controller licensing (ATCL) and the provision of air traffic control (ATC) training in accordance with ICAO requirements, guidance materials and/or international best practices. You will also check for the compliance of national regulations by the Air Traffic Control Officers (ATCO) and ATCTO through safety oversight activities (e.g. audits and inspections).
Investigations
In addition, you will participate in safety investigations of ANS-related occurrences with the aim to enhance safety in the provision of Air Traffic Services and ATC training. You will also be required to review relevant ICAO State Letters and evaluate applications, training programmes and keep abreast of industry developments through relevant platforms such as trainings, meetings and international exchanges.
What we are looking for
Training in any discipline
Valid ATC ratings or have ATC experience
Good communication and writing skills, good interpersonal skills, has a positive attitude and is detail-oriented
Possess a strong sense of purpose and drive to contribute to the development of aviation safety
Able to work independently and is a good team player
Experience in the following areas will be an advantage:
Knowledge of international best practices in the provision of ATS
Experience as an ICAO auditor / aviation inspector / ATC Instructor / authorised check controller
Prior experience in ATS related incident investigations
Conversant with relevant CAAS’ Manual of Standards / ICAO Annexes / ICAO documents
Familiar with functions and activities of ICAO, especially in the conduct of ICAO audits
Certification as an ISO 9001 auditor and / or certification as an approved ICAO auditor
Your appointment designation will commensurate with your relevant work experience. Successful candidates will be offered a 3-year contract in the first instance, and may be considered for placement on a permanent tenure or subsequent contract renewal.
