What the role is

What the role is:

- The Education & Manpower Development (E&MD) team oversees policies and programmes which aim to build a skilled arts workforce that will shape Singapore’s cultural development.

- To support the professional development of the arts sector, our key strategic directions include manpower planning and development through research on the arts workforce, skills development, manpower policies as well as strong HR practices in arts organisations.

- You will be part of the Manpower Development team and contribute to the following areas:

(i) Serving on the project team for the NAC Arts Scholarship, which aims to nurture outstanding individuals who can take on leadership roles in shaping Singapore’s future arts and culture landscape.

(ii) Contributing to the endorsement process for Training Providers (TPs) and their arts courses

What you will be working on

What you will be working on: 

  • Contribute to the end-to-end management of the NAC Arts Scholarship, including supporting the application and evaluation processes, and assisting with the ongoing monitoring of scholars and their contributions. 

  • Provide administrative and operational support as part of the scholarship team, such as coordinating disbursements to scholars and partner institutions, responding to scholarship-related queries, updating records, improving processes, and assisting in the management of the scholarship application portal. 

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of the annual scholarship ceremony, working with vendors, partner institutions, internal NAC teams, and scholars to ensure a smooth and well-coordinated event. 

  • Evaluate and endorse Training Providers (TPs) and their courses, including processing applications, managing and updating course information, and ensuring accurate tracking and documentation of course application materials and masterlists. 

  • Ensure TPs adhere to schemes’ guidelines and requirements including course take-up and outcomes, supporting the administration of evaluation e.g. e-attendance and post-programme surveys, and assisting with other administration processes e.g. technical errors, claims-related issues, and application process enquiries. 

  • Coordinate across TPs, internal and external stakeholders, and manage the design, implementation, and evaluation of endorsement processes, including communication with stakeholders and TPs. 

  • Undertake any other duties and projects as assigned to support the team’s objectives and the broader work of the department. 

What we are looking for

What we are looking for 

  • Preferably with at least 2 years of working experience. 

  • Entry level applicants are welcomed if they demonstrate key competencies in areas highlighted in the job description.

  • Technology-savvy and proficient in Microsoft (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), with strong skills in data management, analysis, and reporting 

  • Customer service oriented. Prior experience in a customer support / technical support role is an advantage. 

  • Organised and detail-oriented with good problem-solving skills  

  • Proactive, resourceful, self-motivated and a team player  

  • Conscientiousness and willing to learn  

  • Able to work independently and deals effectively with work pressure to meet tight deadlines. 

  • Interest and involvement in the arts will be advantageous
