The incumbent will be responsible for the development of digital content for adults and seniors aged 18 and above to drive awareness and interest in topics related to NLB’s Learning Focus Areas under the Libraries and Archives Blueprint (LAB25). To drive user consumption and enhance engagement, this may also entail use of gamification and games as a core aspect of NLB’s content strategy to promote continued discovery of NLB offerings and build a stickier user base.

What you will be working on

1. Curate, Develop and Publish Digital Content

  • Curate, create and design compelling digital content in the most fit for purpose format, typically but not limited to, games, videos, web articles and online resource lists. This will include regular content update of NLB’s LearnX website and other relevant digital channels for targeted users.
  • Support, develop and execute SEO and omni-channel strategies to optimise discoverability of digital content &/or learning pathways as well as enhance reach and conversion of target users
  • Research and analyse learning trends, content gaps, and target personas' needs to inform learning objectives
  • Propose new digital engagement opportunities for value creation for evergreen and trending sub-topics in NLB’s Learning Focus Area(s)
  • Engage and collaborate closely with subject matter experts and relevant internal stakeholders to develop content that meets NLB’s organisational standards, is accurate and relevant, aligns with branding and IP guidelines, and has proper clearance for use on public digital platforms
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and/or procure and manage vendor(s) to ensure that project brief specifications are met and project timelines are adhered to

2. Deploy Gamification and Use of Games to Drive Engagement among library users

  • Monitor and research into trending and/or emerging applications of gamification and games (e.g. puzzle, quizzes, scenario-based, adventure), especially those deployed by the public and people sector to raise awareness and public engagement, and propose possible adaptions in NLB context
  • Engage and collaborate closely with subject matter experts and relevant internal stakeholders to explore gamification opportunities and drive the development of games
  • Design and deploy gamification (e.g. unlocking achievement levels, rewards, competitions) and/or drive development of games as a way to promote content consumption and meet other related NLB objectives where relevant (e.g. promote regular logins to NLB mobile app)

3. Manage Analytics and Tracking for Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor digital content performance through regular tracking and collation of digital performance data and other related metrics
  • Analyse data to identify trends, gaps and opportunities to enhance performance of digital content
  • Develop and support implementation of actionable recommendations to improve desired user behaviour for engagement and conversion

What we are looking for

  • Strong communication and project management skills
  • Strong online content and/or social media curatorial skills
  • Experience in deploying gamification and games to drive digital engagement is strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of some or all of the following: data analytics, web metrics analysis, digital marketing, social media marketing
  • Familiarity in IP and copyrights, especially in digital related media
  • Digital imaging, design and videography skills are a bonus
