What the role is

Description of Group: The Professional Services Group (PSG) harnesses the expertise of the social work and psychology professions in MSF to enhance policy development and service delivery. This includes ensuring consistent practice standards, enabling evidence-informed interventions, and driving capability development to meet evolving sector needs. The PSG is organised along three Divisions: 1. Psychological and Social Services (PSS) Division 2. Standards and Practice Innovation (SPI) Division 3. Capability Development (CAPD) Division The current position advertised is for a Manager/Senior Manager role in the SPI Division, within the Practice Research and Innovation (PRI) Branch. The PRI Branch advances professional practices through innovative research, technology integration, and process evaluations.

What you will be working on

We are seeking a dynamic, proactive, and creative individual who is interested in advancing the use of innovation and technology amongst professional practitioners (e.g. psychologists, social workers, counsellors, therapists, etc.). In this role, you will engage with stakeholders, partners, internal teams, and clients/families to understand pain points, explore innotech potentials, prototype and implement solutions, and evaluate outcomes. You will have the opportunity to develop innotech tools, collaborate with other teams (e.g. GovTech, ITG), and drive the implementation of these innotech solutions for professional practitioners. We are seeking candidates with a good Honours degree, preferably in Social Work and/or Psychology. Candidates with prior experience as a practitioner in the Social Service Sector (i.e. handled clients directly, e.g. caseworker, therapist, counsellor, social worker, psychologist) will be preferred. Key Responsibilities • Keep abreast of latest trends, best practices and new frontiers in digital technology and innovative practices • Champion and propagate the use of digital technology and innovative practices amongst professionals within PSG and MSF • Take the lead within PRI to collaborate with sector professionals and stakeholders to explore, develop and implement innovative practices and digital technology to enhance professional practice (e.g. work automation processes, GenAI applications for practice, digital ops tech utilisation) • Lead the tracking and monitoring of practice innovations effectiveness and technology usage over time within PRI, and propose recommendations for follow up

What we are looking for

Technical Skills & Experiences: • Good knowledge of and hands-on experience with GenAI tools and other digital technologies (e.g. GovTech central tools like Plumber, Postman, Scribe, etc.) • Proficiency with basic Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) Professional Attributes: • Good analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills • Good stakeholder management skills with ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences, building consensus across diverse groups • Good interpersonal, written and oral communication skills • Collaborative with other team members and open to feedback • Organised and able to work independently to manage multiple timelines, deadlines and demands that will overlap Preferred: • Experience in any of the following: o Innovation/transformation and/or ops-tech teams o Change management o Project management, particularly tech-adoption projects • Competencies/skills in any of the following: o Design and/or systems thinking o Project Management Methodologies (Agile, SCRUM, etc.) o Change Management Frameworks (ADKAR, Kotter’s 8 Steps, etc.) o Prompt engineering o Create customised RAG bots • Research and programme evaluation experience • Experience with online data collection platforms (e.g., SurveyGizmo, Qualtrics, etc.) • Experience in digital communication/design (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, CANVA, Piktochart, video editing, etc.) and collaborative workspaces (e.g. MS Teams, OneDrive)
