What the role is

We are seeking a passionate and committed manager to join our team at Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve (SBWR), in stewarding the rich ecological network of Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve and its connected spaces - Mandai Mangrove and Mudflat, Kranji, Lim Chu Kang, Kranji Marshes, and Khatib Bongsu. This role combines hands-on reserve management with technical work on Singapore's climate resilience efforts through nature-based solutions.

What you will be working on

1. Nature-based Solutions (NbS) Portfolio

  • Spearhead nature-based solutions initiatives and research studies across areas under Sungei Buloh management

  • Develop integrated coastal protection strategies that enhance both climate resilience and biodiversity conservation

  • Foster multi-agency partnerships to advance climate adaptation initiatives, bringing strong engineering perspectives to collaborative efforts

  • Guide the implementation and monitoring of innovative coastal protection measures within SBWR

  • Review and provide technical inputs on surrounding developments, particularly on climate resilience measures and their potential impacts

  • Conduct outreach, training, and awareness programs on nature-based solutions

2. SBWR Operations and Community Engagement

  • Manage daily operations, facilities maintenance, and visitor experience

  • Oversee contractors and vendors for ground maintenance and services

  • Support community outreach and conservation programs

  • Serve as Duty Manager for the week (including weekends), and respond to emergency cases

What we are looking for

  • Areas of studies in Ecology, Civil/Environmental Engineering, Facilities Management, Building and Project Management, or other related discipline

  • Preferably with experience in coastal protection or nature-based solutions

  • Working knowledge of Singapore's building regulations and environmental codes of practice

  • Able to work across Nature Park Network locations, including weekends and emergency response duties

  • Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Class 3 driving license would be an advantage
