What the role is

Workforce Development (WD) leads overall workforce development strategies and interventions for the Public Service. We believe that people are at the heart of our organisation and strive to build an agile, skilled, and future-ready Public Service workforce.

What you will be working on

One Talent Gateway (OTG) is the WOG talent marketplace for the Singapore Government. In line with the wider strategic shift towards competencies, OTG aims to democratise developmental opportunities across the government by empowering officers with a suite of development tools (e.g., competency profiling, career journey, goals, gig opportunities and structured job rotations). By the end of your internship, you will have: a) Obtained a deeper understanding of the career development landscape within the Public Service b) Gain hands-on experience in supporting agency-level engagement sessions and onboarding activities within the public sector c) Learn about competency profiling and contribute to the roll out and development of a talent marketplace within Public Service d) Develop skills in data analysis and reporting for leadership purposes. e) Gain insights into user-centric design principles and contribute to the optimization of a talent development platform. f) Participate in process-mapping exercises to identify and address user pain points, contributing to user experience improvement. Job Scope a) Support agency-level engagement sessions such as roadshows, town halls, etc. b) Assist in onboarding activities and contribute to the preparation and addition of content to OTG c) Review and refine the competency bank and work with partners (e.g. Data Office and GovTech) to curate central role profiles outlining the competency expectations of a job d) Conduct data analysis for leadership reporting purposes e) Provide feedback on optimizing the platform to be more user-centric f) Participate in process-mapping exercises to identify and alleviate pain points for users g) Beyond this pilot project, you may also be included in other workstreams where you can insights about a Centre of Government perspective of the Public Service workforce, should you be interested.
