What the role is

Description of Division/Branch: As part of the RPG Protective Service (PSV), the Partner & Capability Development (PCD) division drives partner management and capability building to deliver effective protection services for individuals and families experiencing violence, abuse, or neglect. We strengthen coordination of common services and enable holistic management of services run by social service agencies and vendors. The division advances evidence-based and trauma-informed practices to better support both RPG staff and the social service sector. Brief description of Job Scope As an officer with the Professional Development & Practice Implementation (PDPI) team, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening the protection sector's professional capabilities. Working with government agencies, social service providers, and key stakeholders, you will shape and implement learning initiatives that enhance the competencies of protection professionals, ultimately contributing to better outcomes for vulnerable individuals and families.

What you will be working on

Responsibilities Your duties include: • Develop and maintain competency frameworks and training roadmap for protection professionals and sector partners • Engage internal and external stakeholders to contribute to sustained competency development for PSV and the sector • Plan, coordinate and track training activities, performance indicators and targets with stakeholders in the community and out-of-home care sector, including agency leaders and subject matter experts • Partner developers and training institutes to design, develop and deliver learning materials and training programmes • Conduct training needs analysis and evaluate learning effectiveness • Manage procurement processes, including writing specifications, evaluating proposals and contract management • Facilitate learning across multiple delivery modes (in-person and virtual) • Maintain comprehensive training records and calendar • Identify opportunities to enhance learning through technology integration

What we are looking for

Functional/Technical Competencies: • Have experience or have a keen interest in designing and delivering learning facilitation and evaluation • Foundational understanding of competency framework development • At least 2 years of relevant working experience in learning and development, social services related jobs will be an added advantage. Behaviour Competencies: • Excellent stakeholder management skills with ability to build strong working relationships • High level of initiative and ability to work independently • Strong sense of ownership and accountability • Demonstrates adaptability and resourcefulness in problem-solving • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously • Proactive mindset with strong attention to detail Generic Competencies: • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities • Excellent organisational and time management skills • Proven project management capabilities • Ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable content • Proficient in data analysis and reporting
