What the role is

The GRaduate Industry Traineeship Programme within the Public Service (GRIT@Gov) aims to provide fresh graduates with opportunities to gain industry-relevant skills and experience that can strengthen their employability to take up full time roles in the sector. You will play a role in advancing health professions education through the implementation of technology-enabled training and assessment systems. You will deliver technological and analytical solutions that (i) facilitate the collation, visualisation, and analysis of workplace-based assessment data, (ii) enhance learning experiences, and (iii) augment examination processes. Your contribution will span the entire spectrum of healthcare professional development, from undergraduate studies through to specialist training, encompassing various healthcare disciplines including medicine, nursing, allied health, and other healthcare professions. This role offers an opportunity to gain competencies in (i) data analytics for health professions education, (ii) digital system design, (iii) project management, and (iv) change management for digital transformation.

What you will be working on

• Producing visualisations and analysing data relating to health professions education to produce actionable insights for quality improvement and assurance; • Managing digital transformation projects and guiding stakeholders and end users in leveraging IT systems to augment training and assessment processes; • Reviewing progress and performance of programmes, recommending actions for improvement, and providing advice to stakeholders to ensure alignment with programme objectives and timelines; • Organising meetings and managing stakeholders effectively, including setting realistic expectations, clarifying roles of all involved parties, managing conflicts, and maintaining appropriate levels of communication; and • Delivering impactful presentations to stakeholders such as healthcare professionals, public healthcare cluster leadership and MOH senior management.

What we are looking for

• Candidates with polytechnic diploma or university degree in computing or statistics, or candidates from other disciplines with strong interest in learning technologies, data analytics, artificial intelligence, and/or health professions education. • Strong interpersonal, networking and communication (verbal and written) skills • Strong analytical thinking and decision-making skills • Meticulous and detail-oriented • Ability to engage internal and external stakeholders • Ability to prioritise work and manage work stress • Ability to work independently and as a team Key Competencies Required: • Thinking Clearly & Making Sound Judgements – Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to support the crafting of sound policy recommendations; ability to grasp timelines, operating context and ground realities. • Learning & Putting Skills into Action - Possesses the drive and curiosity to learn and apply new skills, knowledge and new ways of working. • Improving & Innovating – Ability to seek continual improvements, and to innovate and experiment while managing the risks involved. • Working Effectively with Stakeholders – Ability to mobilise and rally partners and stakeholders towards a collective purpose.

Eligibility for GRIT@Gov traineeship

The GRaduate Industry Traineeship Programme within the Public Service (GRIT@Gov) aims to provide fresh graduates with opportunities to gain industry-relevant skills and experience that can strengthen their employability to take up full time roles in the sector.

All trainees must fulfil the following criteria:

  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident; and
  • Graduated or graduating in 2024 or 2025 from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and other Educational Institutions (e.g. private universities and overseas institutions); or
  • Graduated earlier from above institutions and completed National Service in 2024 or 2025.

Trainees who complete their studies from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) or other Educational Institutions within 2025 but who will only receive their qualification/certification award in 2026 are eligible for the programme as well.
