Our personal data protection regime safeguards individuals’ interests while enabling businesses to innovate and generate value from data. Through international partnerships, we facilitate cross-border data flows to help our businesses compete globally and strengthen Singapore’s position as a trusted global data hub.

What the role is
What you will be working on
Responsibilities
- Update data protection policies and laws to maintain their effectiveness.
- Provide practical guidance to help people and businesses navigate personal data protection requirements confidently.
- Provide expert policy advice to IMDA teams and public agencies.
- Build and maintain key stakeholder relationships locally and internationally.
- Monitor global and technology trends and recommend policy responses.
- Support senior management on international trips and at meetings.
- Assist with secretariat duties for a regional network of data protection authorities.
- Eventually leading project teams and mentoring junior colleagues.
What we are looking for
Requirements
- 3 – 6 years of experience in policy development, regulatory work or legislation
- Prior experience in project management and/or event coordination would be advantageous
- Background in Economics, Political Science, Public Administration or Law
- Occasional international travel required
