What the role is

You will be part of the team responsible for curating meaningful learning and development strategies and programmes in Singapore Customs to develop a capable workforce, competent in Customs functions, leadership as well as in data, design and digitalisation.

What you will be working on

Your traineeship will entail but not limited to identifying learning needs, re-designing training curriculum and training delivery methods with key stakeholders, facilitating group discussions, and evaluating effectiveness of programmes. You will also be involved in driving employment engagement and well-being programmes to facilitate commitment from employees to organisational values, vision and objectives, as well as executing change management plans at the organisational level to drive the desired Customs culture.

What we are looking for

We are seeking motivated individual with the following criteria: a) Proactive, highly motivated and adaptable, able to operate in a fast paced and dynamic environment; b) Able to multi-task and work well both strategically and operationally; c) Able to work independently, as well as in a team; d) Trained and has experience in designing and delivering training programmes.

Eligibility for GRIT@Gov traineeship

The GRaduate Industry Traineeship Programme within the Public Service (GRIT@Gov) aims to provide fresh graduates with opportunities to gain industry-relevant skills and experience that can strengthen their employability to take up full time roles in the sector.

All trainees must fulfil the following criteria:

  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident; and
  • Graduated or graduating in 2024 or 2025 from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and other Educational Institutions (e.g. private universities and overseas institutions); or
  • Graduated earlier from above institutions and completed National Service in 2024 or 2025.

Trainees who complete their studies from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) or other Educational Institutions within 2025 but who will only receive their qualification/certification award in 2026 are eligible for the programme as well.
