What the role is

We seek a motivated research assistant (RA) to join our team and gain hands-on experience in survey research and data analysis. This traineeship offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in survey methodology, data collection, and business insights relating to traveller satisfaction.

What you will be working on

Key Responsibilities • Survey Development and Implementation: The RA will assist in conducting a traveller satisfaction survey, from initial concept through to final reporting. This includes supporting the drafting of survey questionnaires, ensuring questions are clear and aligned with survey objectives. • Data Collection and Analysis: The RA will also work closely with the team to conduct basic data cleaning, preliminary analysis of survey results, and assisting in the preparation of summary reports and presentations. • Administrative Support: The RA’s other job scope will include other general administrative duties to support the team's operations.

What we are looking for

The RA should possess strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. The candidate should have an interest in data analysis and customer research, along with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Previous experience with surveys or data analysis is advantageous but not required.

Eligibility for GRIT@Gov traineeship

The GRaduate Industry Traineeship Programme within the Public Service (GRIT@Gov) aims to provide fresh graduates with opportunities to gain industry-relevant skills and experience that can strengthen their employability to take up full time roles in the sector.

All trainees must fulfil the following criteria:

  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident; and
  • Graduated or graduating in 2024 or 2025 from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and other Educational Institutions (e.g. private universities and overseas institutions); or
  • Graduated earlier from above institutions and completed National Service in 2024 or 2025.

Trainees who complete their studies from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) or other Educational Institutions within 2025 but who will only receive their qualification/certification award in 2026 are eligible for the programme as well.
