What the role is

The GRaduate Industry Traineeship Programme within the Public Service (GRIT@Gov) aims to provide fresh graduates with opportunities to gain industry-relevant skills and experience that can strengthen their employability to take up full time roles in the sector. This traineeship would provide an opportunity to be part of MOE’s Recruitment Centre which is part of the HR Solutions and Capabilities Division, handling the recruitment, selection and appointment of Teachers, Allied Educators or Executive and Administrative staff (EAS) for schools and the Ministry’s Headquarters (HQ). Key competencies you will develop: -Domain Knowledge – Gain HR knowledge in recruitment and selection of candidates -Improvement and Innovation – Leverage technology and digital tools to optimise and enhance recruitment -Collaboration and Stakeholder Management – Build communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in teams -Event Management – Build skills in designing and executing events in accordance with protocol to achieve defined objectives

What you will be working on

-Assist with managing smooth and efficient operation of recruitment processes -Assist with the implementation of HR policies and strategies to enhance the recruitment processes to better meet the Ministry’s needs -Support the streamlining and review of existing processes to maintain high standard of service delivery as well as to enhance applicants’ experience -Analyse recruitment data to facilitate recruitment and selection processes -Work with the marketing team, schools and other HQ divisions on recruitment activities such as career talks and job fairs to reach out to targeted applicants

What we are looking for

-Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills -Ability to prioritise and manage multiple deadlines effectively as well as work independently in a fast-paced environment -Comfortable with handling different profiles of stakeholders -Prior internship experience in HR-related fields or data analytics would be an advantage.

Eligibility for GRIT@Gov traineeship

The GRaduate Industry Traineeship Programme within the Public Service (GRIT@Gov) aims to provide fresh graduates with opportunities to gain industry-relevant skills and experience that can strengthen their employability to take up full time roles in the sector.

All trainees must fulfil the following criteria:

  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident; and
  • Graduated or graduating in 2024 or 2025 from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and other Educational Institutions (e.g. private universities and overseas institutions); or
  • Graduated earlier from above institutions and completed National Service in 2024 or 2025.

Trainees who complete their studies from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) or other Educational Institutions within 2025 but who will only receive their qualification/certification award in 2026 are eligible for the programme as well.
