What the role is

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Product Manager / Operations Manager. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in onboarding Government licences into a single system and improving the application process.

What you will be working on

• Work with design researchers and Product Team to identify market and service gaps for businesses in Singapore, and perform deep analysis using data to identify and conceptualise potential features and services for GoBusiness. • Work closely with other government agencies to improve and streamline the licence application process and enhance the user experience on GoBusiness. • Able to identify and implement tracking metrics within GoBusiness portal to provide data and statistical information to understand how each licence application is performing during the processing cycle. • Able to identify potential project risks and its implication to the different stakeholders, and recommend mitigating measures so as to manage the risks and provide reasonable assurance. • Use Excel to consolidate data and generate reports for applications and licences submitted through GoBusiness. • Will be trained to build licence application forms using our in-house Form Builder tool. • Collaborate with product managers to understand licence form requirements and develop approaches for form creation using Form Builder. • Configure licence forms using Form Builder's features, including logic functions and API integration where necessary.

What we are looking for

• We are looking for someone who is proactive, with a strong drive to get things done. • Keeping up with the changing needs of businesses is hard work, where tenacity, perseverance and willingness to debate and learn is important. • Domain knowledge of Government licences will be an advantage. • Solid experience in Business Analysis, Form Building and Excel. • Familiar with modern Internet technologies and practises such as Agile development methodologies. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Strong analytical, conceptualisation and problem-solving skills. • Technical knowledge of existing and emerging technologies, industry’s best practices and standards will be an advantage. • Keen interest in technology and awareness of emerging new technology.

Eligibility for GRIT@Gov traineeship

The GRaduate Industry Traineeship Programme within the Public Service (GRIT@Gov) aims to provide fresh graduates with opportunities to gain industry-relevant skills and experience that can strengthen their employability to take up full time roles in the sector.

All trainees must fulfil the following criteria:

  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident; and
  • Graduated or graduating in 2024 or 2025 from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and other Educational Institutions (e.g. private universities and overseas institutions); or
  • Graduated earlier from above institutions and completed National Service in 2024 or 2025.

Trainees who complete their studies from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) or other Educational Institutions within 2025 but who will only receive their qualification/certification award in 2026 are eligible for the programme as well.
