What the role is

You oversee a team in ensuring a high level of readiness, performance and resiliency of MINDEF/SAF IT systems, networks and IT-services.

What you will be working on

- Develop and implement business support services and provide end-to-end IT service delivery and performance management - Work closely with various stakeholders to maintain, upgrade and troubleshoot the end-to-end backend data centres, servers, Wide-Area Networks, Local-Area Networks, desktops, laptops, including a myriad of software and applications. - Develop and implement comprehensive and integrated business continuity framework for MINDEF/SAF IT networks and systems - Oversee the effective and efficient operations of VIP Support Team, System Management Call Centres and IT Concierges to ensure a high level of user satisfaction - Review IT infrastructure related Operations & Support (O&S) expenses put up for approval by respective Operations Managers and DSTA O&S teams and ensures that the expenses are within the approved allocated budget Challenge(s) - Having in-depth knowledge of the business and operational needs for MINDEF/SAF, and various technology stack in current production environment - Understanding IT trends and MINDEF/SAF, GovTech and IMDA policies to recommend the appropriate investment decisions for MINDEF/SAF IT infrastructure upgrades and refreshes

What we are looking for

- Education in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) and/or related relevant professional qualifications in Agile/DevOps project/portfolio management and full IT tech stack development - Ideally worked in the IT-related industry as a Deputy Director (or equivalent) role leading team in a technical or operational managerial capacity, with minimum 15 years of working experience with 5 years in middle management - Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment - Strong leadership and communication skills Appointment will be commensurate with your experience.
