What the role is

The Senior Specialist/Specialist will support the Principal Specialist (B&I-Mech) in leading the Mechanical team to provide the advance mechanical engineering expertise to the development projects. He/She will help build internal capabilities within HTX. Additionally, the role will involve addressing downstream infrastructure management and project development.

What you will be working on

Reporting to the Principal Specialist (Mechanical), he/she is expected to provide technical support and guidance to the Home Team Departments (HTDs). He/she will be responsible for the following: • Assist the Principal Specialist (Mechanical) to develop governance framework on the mechanical infrastructure management in MHA • Provide advice on mechanical matters and approves any mechanical enhancements and changes to the overall MHA electrical infrastructure • Plan mechanical infrastructure development to support MHA’s operational needs • Manage the progress of the Building and Infrastructure projects to ensure timely implementation • Develop and conduct audits on both developmental and existing mechanical infrastructure in MHA.

What we are looking for

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering recognised by PE Board • Between 5-8 years of relevant experience as a building consultant involved in design and construction supervision for different types of building projects (e.g. Infrastructural, Data Centres, Hospitals, etc.) • Experienced in facilities management • Familiar with M&E systems, local Codes of Practices, Statutory Authorities requirements, Instruction Manual, Public Sector Standard Conditions of Contract and FM operational practices • Good in people management. • Confident with good judgement to handle different situations. The selected candidate may be posted to one of the HTDs after undergoing on-the-job training in HTX. * All new hires are appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance and will be assessed and considered for permanent tenure over time, based on performance.
