What the role is
The Wildlife Management Division in NParks is the first responder for all wildlife-related feedback in Singapore and engages the community on human-wildlife encounters in our City in Nature as part of our multi-pronged approach.
What you will be working on
We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to be part of our team to help in feedback management, wildlife population management and stakeholders’ engagement.
With a focus on urban birds feedback and population management, the work scope will range from public and stakeholders engagement, applied ecological research, direct conflict interventions and database management.
Key duties include the following:
Oversee bird related matters, such as population management strategies, feedback management, database management, enforcement of the Wildlife Act and involvement in applied ecological research.
Oversee and implement wildlife-related outreach programmes and engagements for the community, stakeholder groups and agencies
What we are looking for
Area of studies in Biological or Environmental Science or related discipline
Relevant working experience in implementing innovation projects, wildlife operations and public engagement will be an advantage
Demonstrate punctuality and adherence to operational schedules
An organized, creative and resourceful team player who is able to work independently with good interpersonal skills
Possess good written and oral communication skills
Able to multi-task in performing a diverse range of duties, including enforcement when required
Enjoy working in an outdoor field environment
Willing to work on weekends and after office hours
