What the role is

The GRaduate Industry Traineeship Programme within the Public Service (GRIT@Gov) aims to provide fresh graduates with opportunities to gain industry-relevant skills and experience that can strengthen their employability to take up full time roles in the sector. As a Procurement Policy Trainee in the Procurement Branch of the Finance and Procurement Division, you will be part of a dynamic team that drives procurement excellence across MOE Schools and Headquarters (HQ). You will assist to strengthen procurement practices across MOE Schools and HQ and implement procurement policies and processes that ensure compliance, efficiency, and value for money while developing the capabilities of MOE's procurement community.

What you will be working on

-Policy Analysis and Compliance – Gain deep knowledge of government procurement regulations and develop skills to analyse data and materials for regulatory alignment and compliance gaps -Content Development and Quality Assurance – Build expertise in reviewing, evaluating and improving training materials and documentation to enhance clarity, accuracy and user experience -Research and Critical Thinking – Develop strong analytical skills to identify process inefficiencies, conduct regulatory research and systematically evaluate materials against established standards -Professional Documentation and Process Improvement – Cultivate attention to detail and stakeholder awareness to create effective procurement resources that balance compliance requirements with practical usability

Eligibility for GRIT@Gov traineeship

The GRaduate Industry Traineeship Programme within the Public Service (GRIT@Gov) aims to provide fresh graduates with opportunities to gain industry-relevant skills and experience that can strengthen their employability to take up full time roles in the sector.

All trainees must fulfil the following criteria:

  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident; and
  • Graduated or graduating in 2024 or 2025 from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and other Educational Institutions (e.g. private universities and overseas institutions); or
  • Graduated earlier from above institutions and completed National Service in 2024 or 2025.

Trainees who complete their studies from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) or other Educational Institutions within 2025 but who will only receive their qualification/certification award in 2026 are eligible for the programme as well.
