We are seeking a skilled and proactive Middleware Administrator to join our IT infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and deployment of key middleware platforms, including Oracle WebLogic, RedHat JBoss, IBM MQ, and Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS). What you will be working on
• Administer, monitor, and maintain middleware platforms: Oracle WebLogic, RedHat JBoss, IBM MQ, and IIS.
• Perform regular maintenance activities such as patching, software upgrades, and performance tuning to keep middleware systems secure and up-to-date.
• Plan and execute the setup and configuration of new middleware instances as required for business projects and initiatives.
• Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolutions to incidents related to middleware components.
• Collaborate with application development and infrastructure teams to support deployment, integration, and optimisation of applications on middleware platforms.
• Document processes, configurations, and changes to ensure effective knowledge sharing and compliance with company policies.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing for middleware environments.
• Ensure adherence to security best practices and compliance requirements for all managed middleware systems.
What we are looking for
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven hands-on experience administering Oracle WebLogic, RedHat JBoss, IBM MQ, and Microsoft IIS in an enterprise environment.
• Strong understanding of middleware architecture, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Experience in performing patching, upgrades, and regular maintenance of middleware platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to set up and configure new middleware instances based on project requirements.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python, PowerShell) for automation of routine tasks is an advantage.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Relevant certifications in Oracle WebLogic, RedHat JBoss, IBM MQ, or Microsoft IIS administration.
• Experience with high-availability and disaster recovery solutions for middleware platforms.
• Knowledge of security principles and best practices in middleware administration.
